Returnal
Housemarque delivered an excellent roguelike in the form of Returnal, which excellently combines its sci-fi trappings and time-loop mechanics with a story that ends up being really personal to the protagonist as well. After crash landing onto the planet of Atropos for the umpteenth time with no recollection of these events, our protagonist Selene meets her corpse and a log of her previous adventures. This is followed up with similarly eerie encounters and discoveries, which sets the perfectly dark tone for this time-looping adventure.
