Endflame’s Ikai is a first-person psychological horror game, which seems like a dime a dozen, but the Japanese folklore and lack of combat seemed like nice twists. Unfortunately, it fails to deliver anything different while its plot holes and antiquated presentation hamper the intriguing premise. The short run-time wouldn’t have been an issue, but the game feels like it ends before it ever really gets going.
