The Inpatient
Sony took a big risk with its PSVR platform, and while there’s no shortage of great games available for the system – there’s an equal number of disappointments as well. The Inpatient ranks as one of the most high-profile PSVR failures. Developed by Supermassive games of Until Dawn fame, The Inpatient looked like the perfect horror game to make good use of the power of VR. But in practice, The Inpatient is less of a horrifying experience and more of a frustrating one simply because of its unruly controls that make the moment-to-moment gameplay an exercise in pain. Further making matters worse is the story that fails to hit the mark in almost every regard, which ultimately makes it a failed experiment.
