CrossFire X
For the uninitiated, CrossFire has been one of the most popular multiplayer games in Korea for some time now and Microsoft wished to bring that experience overseas with CrossFire X which is an expanded release built for Xbox Series X/S. This re-release would also include two single player campaigns from developer Remedy Entertainment of Max Payne fame. Early showings looked impressive, but when CrossFire X actually released – it failed to impress anyone. And that’s for good reason, it was a product that clearly lacked polish. The single player stories seemed like an afterthought as it was plagued with overly obnoxious stories and hilariously awful AI. Even the multiplayer modes felt like cheap knock-offs of other popular shooters, all of which culminated in an experience that’s definitely not worth your time.
