2016’s Mafia 3 was a highly anticipated release, however, developer Hangar 13 failed to deliver on the hype with the final release, which had middling critical and by extension, commercial reception. The game had many flaws with its mission design, along with lacklustre AI and other underdeveloped mechanics. The story did manage to win some hearts over, but looking at the whole picture – Mafia 3 was one of the weakest games of 2016.
