The Order 1886 (2015)

The Order: 1886 was a new and promising IP for Sony’s PlayStation 4. The game started development all the way back in 2010 and was finally released to mixed reception in 2015. The game’s alternate history London setting looked slick thanks to great texture work and art design, but it failed to deliver an equally competent gameplay loop which was marred down by an underwhelming arsenal of weapons and its simple cover mechanics. Topping that off with the game’s pretty short length, The Order: 1886 was perhaps the biggest disappointment of 2015.
