The Philosopher’s Legacy is the location of tons and tons of cash stashed by the world’s superpowers. Clearly you wouldn’t just blurt out its location or indicate that information of said location is nearby, right? Well, no one taught those life lessons to Volgin when he was torturing Naked Snake. Granted, he probably thought he had Snake dead to rights and that he totally wasn’t going to escape but still.
