There’s really only one way that Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 could end. We knew it was coming and dreaded it. Still, it was agonizing to see Zack fighting off hordes of Shinra troops just to protect a catatonic Cloud, tiring out as the battle wore on. The Digital Mind Wave, the combat system which functions like a slot machine, starts showcasing Zack’s beloved memories, mirroring his life flashing before his eyes. By the end, our hero falls and Cloud takes up his sword, promising to be his living legacy.
