Weather in Horizon Forbidden West doesn’t have much of a mechanical impact on the gameplay, but it contributes significantly to the game’s immersion factor. A lot of that is down to how gorgeous the game looks in these moments- from the ground looking slick and muddy after a torrent of rainfall to swirling eddies of sand in a desert during a sandstorm to calm beauty of snowfall, the game touts impressive visual variety and detail with its weather effects.
