 It’s no secret that id Software has had some issues with the development of DOOM (formerly known as DOOM 4). With the game’s official reveal at QuakeCon this year, however, we now have a better idea of what to expect. DOOM promises a brutal return to the franchise’s roots, with fast strafing, no reloading, and the ability to carry multiple weapons being key features. Bethesda has announced that the game is expected to launch in 2015, with a beta available to those who pre-ordered this year’s fantastic Wolfenstein: The New Order.
