MAFIA 3
Like so many other games on this list, Mafia 3 is a title that had a lot of great things going for it, but was ultimately let down by a litany of other issues that just couldn’t overcome its strengths. A bland open world, uninspired mission design, and a plethora of technical issues plagued the game at launch- and many of those issues are present today as well. But if you’re looking for an engrossing, superbly written, and excellently acted story, Mafia 3 is just the sort of game you’re looking for. There’s stuff that you have to overlook to get to the good parts, but if you can do that, there’s an excellent narrative in it to reward your patience.
