It thankfully feels like we’re very, very far away from the worst days of the Resident Evil franchise. This was it though- the nadir of Resident Evil, the flag-bearer of all of its worst tendencies. The idea of a giant, blockbuster game with intersecting stories that brought all of the series’ biggest stars together in a single, epic adventure was an exciting one for many, but Resident Evil 6’s heavy focus on action was a big concern, and sure enough, that was exactly what proved to be the game’s downfall. If Capcom does ever remake this game, it’ll need heavy editing.
