DARK VOID
Coming at a time where the market was flooded with Gears of War-inspired cover shooters, Dark Void promised a unique twist to the formula with what it proudly dubbed vertical cover mechanics. Pre-launch, Capcom’s sci-fi cover shooter definitely seemed intriguing, but sadly, the actual game was rather forgettable. From a bland story to a general lack of content (with a brief campaign being its only mode on offer), Dark Void didn’t have much going for it. It’s biggest strength was its inoffensive shooting mechanics, which should tell you everything you need to know.
