Bioshock

Bioshock’s opening sequence is all about atmosphere and soaking the player into the beautiful dystopia of Rapture. Taking the elevator ride down into Rapture manages to stay encapsulated in our memories all these years later for good reason. The Jules Verne-inspired setting under the ocean feels equal parts eerie and fascinating thanks to the string-heavy soundtrack and unparalleled art direction. The hook of rapture effortlessly caught us. Who could resist finding out what went wrong with the paradisal undersea city and what evil terrors await below?
