The remake of Silent Hill 2 does practically everything a proper remake should. It vastly improves upon the voice acting, adds more detail to environments, and polishes up gameplay a ton, among other things. Players get hit with the realization that they’re playing a GOTY contender right off the gate as James reads his deceased wife’s letter and heads to the mysterious town. James’ voice couldn’t be more melancholic, and the misty Silent Hill looks every bit as creepy as it seemed when we first saw it on PS2.
