The RE Engine made its debut with with Resident Evil 7 in January of 2017, and what a debut it was. With Resident Evil 2, Capcom’s engine flexed its muscles yet again, with a showing even more impressive than its already impressive debut. Resident Evil 2 is an excellent looking game. From its gory details to its horrifying monstrosities, from its richly detailed environments to its best-in-class lighting, it’s a game that stands as tall in the visuals department as it does in all others.
