The Last of Us Part 2
Say what you will about the story but there’s no denying that The Last of Us Part 2 is one of the best looking games of all time. The texture quality, dynamic shadows and level of detail are simply stunning throughout, whether trudging through the snow in Jackson or navigating the ruins of Seattle. Motion matching, the new animation system used by Naughty Dog, provides an excellent mix of realistic animations, particularly when interacting physically with different objects. Volumetrics, particle effects and global illumination are similarly excellent, and prove that the PS4 still has plenty of life near the end of its life-cycle.
