Rockstar have always been known as the grand daddies of the open world genre, and with Red Dead Redemption 2, they’ve proved yet again just why they deserve that crown more than anyone else. The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is stunning in so many ways- it’s unbelievably huge. It’s filled with an incredible attention to detail that helps it comes to life in a manner that’s rarely ever been seen before in games. It’s denizens feel alive, and act like real people, rather than lines of code shaped like humans. It is filled with a vast assortment of activities, from bounties, to dynamically occurring events, to some of the best side quests we’ve ever seen in a video game. It’s ecosystem of flora and fauna is deep and interactive. In all these ways and so many more, Red Dead Redemption 2’s world is a stunning setting, and one that will continue to astound you in new ways even after you’ve played the game for dozens and dozens of hours.
