Big Boss’ relationship with The Boss was one of the most complicated and fascinating things about Metal Gear Solid 3– it was the fuel that constantly drove the game’s riveting story forward. This moment right here was a defining one for that relationship. Naked Snake’s conversation with Eva about his relationship with the boss was a simple one, but it did an excellent job of showing that the relationship he had with his former mentor was a complex one.
