Code Vein’s Season Pass
Initially, Code Vein was considered as little more than Anime Souls. However, it actually managed to deliver a good combat system, interesting environmental exploration and a unique presentation. It sold over a million units in a few months after release, which isn’t too bad overall but for as enjoyable as the base game could be, the paid DLC was little more than an excuse to gouge players. The $25 Season Pass essentially added three new bosses, three new maps for The Depths, new Bloodcodes and Bloodveils, and several new weapons on top of companion outfits and lots of character creator options. The lack of content is less of an issue than the quality but don’t take my word for it – simply check out the user reviews on Steam which range from Mostly Negative to Very Negative overall.
