CONTRA: ROGUE CORPS
Contra is one of the most legendary franchises in the games industry, a proud bastion of the golden, retro age of video games. So of course, Konami took it upon themselves to tarnish that legacy with an absolutely horrendous game. Rogue Corps completely disregards everything that makes Contra, Contra. Horrible visuals, performance issues, a terrible weapons overheating mechanic that neuters the combat, and unintuitive controls are just a few of this game’s most major issues. By canning PT, Konami ruined Silent Hill. By making Metal Gear Survive, they ruined Metal Gear. Now, with Rogue Corps, they’ve ruined Contra. Here’s hoping they stay far, far away from Castlevania.
