MIGHTY NO. 9
Classic Mega Man games have a soft spot in the hearts of many old school gamers, and in the absence of Capcom bringing the Blue Bomber back into the limelight, Mighty No. 9 was looking like the perfect replacement. With its development being headed up by Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune himself, and the game looking like everything Mega Man used to be, the expectations surrounding the game were quite high. The end result? Not good, as you probably know. Mighty No. 9 was everything Mega Man wasn’t- boring, charmless, lazy. Thankfully, Capcom would eventually go on to bring the Blue Bomber back with Mega Man 11 (which didn’t suck).
