WATCH DOGS

When Ubisoft first revealed Watch Dogs, there was little doubt in anyone’s mind that this was going to be the first proper look at next gen gaming, and would become Ubisoft’s premier franchise immediately upon launch. When it did launch, that turned out to be quite inaccurate. I mean, sure, it did eventually go on to become a big IP for Ubisoft (thanks mostly to the sequel), but at launch, Watch Dogs proved to be nothing but an uninspired and bland open world title that didn’t live up to any of the potential and promise it had shown in its reveal trailer. And of course, there were those ridiculous visual downgrades- the less said about those, the better.
