PS5 Pro’s Price
The idea of a mid-gen console refresh is nothing new, especially for Sony. So when rumors circulated of the PS5 Pro, even with developers allegedly feeling it was unneeded, there wasn’t much surprise. Sony’s reveal also seemed straightforward enough – almost painfully so, doing little to underscore some of the more significant improvements. Then it announced the price – $699.99, without a vertical stand or disc drive. The console turned out well enough but the anger and memes surrounding its price continued.
