Kojima’s Xbox Game
Talking about games that have been rumored for a while, Kojima Productions is allegedly working on an exclusive title for Xbox. Rumors started back in April 2021 about the title, which would apparently be cloud-native. Microsoft’s hiring of former Portal designer Kim Swift as senior director in the Xbox Cloud Gaming team was also apparently to help facilitate the project (which is reportedly based on an existing IP).
And while no official announcement has been made, VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb reported in April that the deal was still on. If it were ever going to be confirmed, then June’s showcase would be the time.
