The Boss – Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
When Naked Snake embarks on his Virtuous Mission to save Sokolov, it seems fairly innocuous when The Boss appears. Wasn’t she just helping you on the radio? However, The Boss reveals that she’s defecting to the USSR and helps the Cobra Unit to recapture Sokolov. Throughout the game, she’s constantly at odds with Snake and even serves as the final boss. It’s then revealed that she was ordered to defect to infiltrate the enemy’s ranks and locate the Philosopher’s Legacy. This made her a traitor but ultimately exonerated the United States. It was one heart-breaking shock after another honestly.
