SUSHI DELIVERY GUY (HITMAN: ABSOLUTION)
At a certain point in Hitman: Absolution, Agent 47 finds himself in an elevator, in the company of a guy who is delivering an order of sushi. He’s had a tough day. He got the address wrong, and he’s making his way to what he thinks is the right address, frustrated at his own incompetence. He rants about said frustrations to an impassive, uncaring Agent 47, wondering if he’s dyslexic, in his own words, or maybe if he’s just not all that bright. As it turns out, his mother, who he seemingly doesn’t have a very good relationship with, seems to think it’s the latter. But Agent 47 doesn’t care.
He knows that as soon as the elevator stops and its doors open, a group of armed soldiers are going to be waiting right outside in an ambush that is meant for him. He can tell the sushi delivery guy about this, that his life is in danger, but Agent 47 is a man of little words- even if it means letting another man die. And sure enough, a split second before the doors open, Agent 47 makes his escape into the elevator shaft up above, while the delivery guy is riddled with bullets, bringing his frustrated existence to a close, as he – tragically – drops the sushi. RIP, stupid sushi guy with mother issues. RIP.
