No Man’s Sky
Arguably the most controversial release in recent years, Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky suffered from a number of features being absent on the day of release. Even though the missing multiplayer had stung players, the overall lack of polish for the game and its procedural generation, not to mention several under-developed concepts led to No Man’s Sky being vilified. Before the release of No Man’s Sky NEXT, coming after numerous other expansions that introduced base-building, rovers and so on, Murray revealed that the team simply couldn’t realize a number of concepts before release, multiplayer being one of them. Thankfully, despite a bad start, No Man’s Sky has managed to bounce back in tremendous fashion.
