Gameplay footage emerged in November giving us our clearest glimpse yet of the formally co-operative third-person shooter turned PvPvE survival extraction experience ARC Raiders, and whether the switch to competitive player vs player resonates it’s hard to argue The Finals dev Embark Studios haven’t landed on an intriguing premise and aesthetic. It’s team-based scavenging and gunplay across a post-apocalyptic dustbowl stalked by mechanised intergalactic threat looks tight. Whether its attempt to capitalise on the extraction shooter trend comes too late remains to be seen given 2025 is now the earliest time of ARC Raiders’ arrival.
