These franchises may never return but we'll continue to pine for them.

Road Rash

Ah, Road Rash. A game that combined the simple concepts of racing and bashing opponents off of their vehicles with weapons. It was so basic and yet so fun. The sequels Road Rash 2 and 3 were even better but as technology improved, the series started losing its sheen. Road Rash 3D released in 1998 for the PS1 and actually witnessed above average reviews. Sadly, Road Rash 64 and Road Rash: Jailbreak did very little to improve things. Road Redemption, a spiritual successor to the franchise, released to average reviews in October 2017 but a truly great Road Rash title has been missing since 1995. Once again, with EA as the license holder, don’t expect that to change anytime soon.
