Pierre Taki’s Arrest for Drugs
Sega’s Judgment released in December 2018 for Japan and seemed on track for its Western release. There was just one problem – voice actor Pierre Taki was arrested in March 2019 after admitting to drug use. Sales for the game were halted in Japan and Sega issued an apology, though eventually it would replace Taki’s name and likeness for the Western release. Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time that a Yakuza voice actor was replaced due to drug charges as actor Hiroki Narimiya was dropped from Yakuza 4 for the same.
