E3 2010: 3DS Awesomeness

Posted By | On 15th, Jun. 2010

The 3DS stole the show today at L.A in Nintendo’s E3 conference. While it wasn’t exactly demonstrated for the general public, a hell lot of launch titles and 3rd party support were announced for the 3DS.

First off, Kid Icarus: Uprising was announced, which, it turns out, is actually the secret title Project Sora. A trailer was shown, which featured super-cool graphics and awesome gameplay. Here is the trailer:

Apart from that, Nintendo announced that awesome 3rd party support system including the likes of Square Enix with Kingdom Hearts, THQ with Saint’s Row, EA with Madden, Capcom with Resident Evil, Konami with Metal Gear Solid, Namco with Ridge Racer and Tecmo Koei games, along with much, much more will be there for the 3DS.

Nintendo also announced some of their own titles for the 3DS. They announced Paper Mario 3DS (We don’t know if it’s a new instalment or just a remake, but we’ll keep you posted.), Animal Crossing 3DS, Mario Kart 3DS, Nintendogs + Cats, PilotWings Resort, Star Fox 64 3D and Steel Driver. Surprisngly, no Metroid, Zelda or Pokemon games were announced, but these are enough to support the system for a lifetime, I think.

Other games such as Super Street Fighter IV, Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy, the Batman Franchise, the Lego Franchise, Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil will also grace the 3DS’ library.

Sony must go home now. There’s no point fighting anymore. The PSP should go die.
