5. Vectrex
Though vector graphics may seem archaic by today's standards, it was all the rage with arcade developers in the early 80s, making the 1983 Vectrex a strong attempt at making a home arcade system. Despite a dorky looking built in screen, the Vectrex had a strong library of decent arcade ports, but it was destroyed along with most home consoles during the on set of the great games crash of 1983. Still, its critical legacy survives to this day.
