Killzone 2
Despite starting life on a misleading note (courtesy of the pre-rendered E3 trailer), Killzone 2 stands tall as one of the best shooters on the PlayStation 3. The campaign makes great use of the cover-based shooting mechanics to craft all sorts of interesting scenarios, and it’s paired with a simple yet engaging story that will make you want to keep on playing through to the end. Multiplayer has also seen substantial improvements over its predecessors, and players would spend dozens upon dozens of hours duking it out against each other in a wide variety of game modes.
