Half-Life: Alyx
After a not-so-brief hiatus spanning more than a decade, the Half-Life series made a comeback with 2020’s Half-Life: Alyx – a prequel set before the events of the second game. While it’s not the Half-Life 3 that fans were hoping for, it’s easily one of the best shooters in the VR space – simply due to how well it realizes the potential of the platform. Almost every object in the surroundings can be interacted with, and the puzzles and combat make good use of these options to craft a compelling gameplay loop that’s best in class.
