Black Mesa
It’s one thing to create greatness, but improving on it? Adding to it? Almost impossible, maybe even downright insulting, but Crowbar Collective did just that with Black Mesa, its remake of the first Half-Life. Besides visually polishing up everything about the original, it adds some great new details (look out for the Eli Vance cameo), a new soundtrack, improved AI, and countless other improvements. Above all else, it delivers a completely different version of Xen, depicting an appropriate level of scale and epicness to cap off the incredible campaign.
