Resident Evil 2 (2019)
Resident Evil 2, a remake of the PS One classic, is a celebration of the franchise’s survival horror formula. Utilizing the original’s framework, it features many of the same environments and characters while adding new mechanics (like Mr. X) and an over-the-shoulder perspective on top of gorgeous visuals. After the underwhelming Resident Evil 6 and the return to survival horror in Resident Evil 7: biohazard, Resident Evil 2 was exactly what long-time fans needed.
