343 Industries is Staffing up for “the Future of Halo”

343 Industries may no longer be working on regular seasonal updates for Halo Infinite, but new content for the shooter continues to be worked on at the studio, with plenty of it also set to arrive with an imminent update. As you might imagine, however, the studio probably has larger and more long-term plans in place for the future of Halo, and it’s something that it’s continuing to recruit people to work on.

Taking to Twitter, 343 Industries’ community director Brian Jarrard recently spoke about the “difficult and heartbreaking stretch for the game industry” that has seen thousands of jobs being cut over the course of the last year and a half, with companies such as Microsoft, Sony, EA, Riot Games, Embracer Group, and many others having implemented layoffs.

“If it can be of any help to anyone, please note there are currently open roles here at 343 Industries working on the future of the Halo franchise,” Jarrard wrote.

Overviews of all job listings linked in Jarrard’s tweet read, “We are looking for new Spartans to join our team to build the next generation of games and experiences in our award-winning sci-fi universe.” Meanwhile, the job ads also mention “future Halo titles.”

Of course, it should come as no surprise that future Halo games are in the works at 343 Industries in some capacity, and sure enough, that’s what recent leaks and reports have claimed as well. Reportedly, the next Halo game that the studio is working on is being built on Unreal Engine 5.

Halo battle royale shooter was also in development at Certain Affinity, but it’s been claimed that the project got cancelled.
