At The Game Awards 2021, Blackbird Interactive shocked us by showcasing gameplay (which looked very good) and a release window for Homeworld 3. After Homeworld 2, the Hyperspace Gate Network has been a source of prosperity but the gates are now starting to fail. Karan S’jet is involved but to what extent is unknown. Regardless, fans can expect the same 3D tactical RTS gameplay with fortresses, megaliths, asteroid fields and particle storms to deal with. Your fleet will be around from mission to mission so it’s your job to ensure they survive. Homeworld 3 is out in Q4 2022 for PC and includes a new co-op rogue-like mode, Skirmish matches against the AI, and multiplayer modes like 1v1, Free-for-All and team battles.
