34. Television spin-offs based on popular games (via webisodes and running parallel to the game e.g. Quantum Break)
Quantum Break is all set to be released on the Xbox One but has been garnering even more attention for its TV show, which will launch at the same time and run parallel to the game. It doesn’t stop there though, as other franchises like Halo The TV Series has been announced which will provide a live-action look into the Halo-verse. With the popularity of the series and the sheer professionalism in production that’s been seen with previous live-action Halo projects, we’d say this is a good move. Ryse: Son of Rome also had a spin-off webisode series developed in collaboration with Machinima that aired before the main game released. With Microsoft’s emphasis on TV and integrating its services with the Xbox One, look out for more TV shows based on popular franchises in the coming years.
