32. Special editions with excessive extras at a price
With the release of some great games, the publishers throw in special editions. Now these special editions are crazy with their own set of maps, action figures, items, journals and a lot more. But they come at a very excessive price that gamers may be hesitant to pay but this trend will not fade away any time soon. For example the recently released Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag came with a Black Chest edition which included a Premium Quality 55 cm Diorama of Captain Edward on the Jackdaw’s Bow, Exclusive Steel Book, a high-quality art book, the official soundtrack, 2 Lithographs in their protective envelopes and 2 canvas prints. And who can forget the Saints Row IV Special Edition which retailed for $1 million?
