Leverage finds a way into every hideous thing that needs doing. War avails itself of the opportunity fully. The Phantom Pain would be a game that would revolve considerably around revengeance, and death naturally comes into the picture with this. Death of innocents. We’re all used to having heroes save the day with pulling off some mind boggling stunts, purging of all the bad guys and saving the hostages/victims.The Phantom Pan takes a different approach here, as is evident from the trailer. The trailer has Snake himself, supposedly shooting at children behind bars.

Innocent people do die in war, but having to witness the such deaths at the hands of someone we look up to? It’s a completely different matter. Kojima has taken a bold step by portraying a saviour turn into some ruthless barbarian. How this action of Snake’s is justified, we’ll know soon. But what’s for sure, is that this won’t be the only innocent blood shed. There’ll be a lot more and a lot worse.
