Dead Space 3 Reviews: A Good Mix of High Nines And Sevens

The original Dead Space was one of the biggest surprises of 2008. It was a no brainer that Visceral Games and EA had to make a franchise out of this. In 2011, Dead Space 2 was released to much critical acclaim and even though fans were disappointed with some of the gameplay mechanics, Dead Space 2 proved to be a commercial hit.

Now that Dead Space 3 is on the release horizon, several well known publications have already revealed their final verdict about the game.

Polygon gave the game a superb 9.5 stating that ‘Dead Space 3 is a monster of a game. Visceral avoided major deviations from the gameplay loop established by the previous games, instead choosing to refine those mechanics. But it has made major, substantive additions to the game’s structure that make Dead Space 3 feel much more ambitious.

Popular gaming magazine, GameInformer gave the game a even higher score of 9.75 claiming the game is ‘the most polished, well-paced entry in the excellent sci-fi horror series yet.’

GamesRadar was a bit critical about the dull environments, awarding the game 3.5 out of 5 stars, whereas the official Xbox magazine gave the game a 7/10 criticizing the game’s abysmal plot.

Our very own review of Dead Space 3 will be published this weekend. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more news and updates.
