Resident Evil 10 Could Release in 2029, Resident Evil 1 Remake is About 4-7 Years Away – Rumor

As leaker AestheticGamer notes, however, plans can change, including the next mainline title potentially releasing as late as 2031.

Resident Evil title

As momentous as every new Resident Evil is, be it a remake or sequel, the question always remains: What’s next? According to leaker AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem, it’s apparently Resident Evil: Code – Veronica Remake, allegedly due in the first half of 2027. There’s also DLC reportedly in the works for Requiem, which may star Leon S. Kennedy.

However, Resident Evil 10 – or whatever it ends up titled – is allegedly in development. That could mean a release sometime in 2029, but that’s if (and only if) “all goes well in development.” They believe it could slip to “as late as 2031, based on the whims of game development.”

Regarding reports of Resident Evil 1 Remake, they clarified that it’s “been tossed around in pre-production,” and that even if it’s “likely to be a thing sooner or later, it’s really too early to say anything conclusively.” Assuming everything goes well, it would still apparently be released in four to seven years.

And remember that this is Capcom, which originally wanted Resident Evil Requiem to have co-op and an open-world structure before pivoting to a single-player structure. Dusk Golem claims that the development team has scrapped multiple other projects in the past five years, including Resident Evil Revelations 3 (reportedly starring Rebecca), a title focusing on Wesker, Re:Verse support, and even a game with HUNK as the protagonist.

“My main point is, take it for what it is, predicting how it might go is like asking a fortune teller. The other stuff is more set in stone,” they said. Of course, that’s not including Resident Evil Zero Remake, which is allegedly launching in 2028, or that a remake for Resident Evil 5 is reportedly not happening. It wouldn’t be surprising if the rumored Capcom meeting next year (after the launch of Code – Veronica Remake) is to explore other potential titles besides the above.
