New Battlefield 4 Video Teases Naval Warfare: Submarines!

Pretty much explains itself.

EA Digital Illusions CE has released a new teaser video for Battlefield 4. This one isn’t promising a gameplay reveal – though it again reminds us that we can look forward to initially announced reveal set for March 26th at GDC 2013. No, this teases something fairly specific: Naval warfare.

Throughout the history of the series, Battlefield has featured different types of vehicles. Tanks, helicopters, jeeps, planes and just recently even dirt-bikes could be commandeered and used to wreck havoc. They also play strong roles in games like Conquest Mode, in which supremacy in air often turns the tide of most battles.

This will be the first Battlefield to feature naval combat in some way or form. And judging from the teaser, it seems like submarines will be playing a major role. The question now is: current gen consoles only or will it be arriving on the PS4 and Xbox 720?

The source code may indicate otherwise, but we’ll wait till GDC 2013 for a better look.
