It seems that Rockstar Games is indeed bringing micro-transactions to Grand Theft Auto Online, the multiplayer component of the recently release Grand Theft Auto V. Eurogamer has reportedly spoken to those with early access who have confirmed 4 currency cards for UK users.

This include:

– $100,000 Red Shark Cash Card (£1.99)
– $200,000 Tiger Shark Cash Card (£3.49)
– $500,000 Bull Shark Cash Card (£6.99)
– $1,250,000 Great White Shark Cash Card (£13.49)

It’s also been revealed that property and item prices will vary significantly online from the single-player experience, with the most expensive property retailing for $400,000 (compared to a couple of million in-game). Interestingly, weapon and car mods will be priced higher so as to keep things a little more balanced between players. Still, this doesn’t change the fact that you can just spend a couple of bucks and get a leg-up over the competition quickly.

Grand Theft Auto Online will go live on October 1st for Xbox 360 and PS3.
