Square Enix released a new trailer for Tetsuya Nomura’s long-awaited Kingdom Hearts 3 at the recent D23 Expo in Japan. It showcases gameplay and the return of Sora, Donald and Goofy as a fighting unit once again. The game’s combat and various skills are also showcased for the first time. Check them all out above.

Kingdom Hearts 3 was first revealed to be in development during Sony’s E3 presser. As a sequel to the second game – with the series having seen its fair number of spin-offs and side-stories in recent years – Kingdom Hearts 3 will continue the quest of Sora. Though what he’s after this time remains to be revealed, the Heartless still appear to be roaming the streets and causing havoc.

Kingdom Hearts 3 was announced to be in development for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, though no solid release date has been offered as of yet. Stay tuned for more details as they arrive.
