Square Enix’s mobile march continues as the developer has posted a new trailer for an RPG called Rise of Mana which will be heading to smartphones and tablets this year. Check it out above.

According to a NeoGAF user who translated the Rise of Mana site, iOS users will apparently be getting the game soon while Android users will need to wait till some time in 2014 to get their hands on it. The game will be free to play but include in-app purchases. It will also have a fairly strong soundtrack with composers Tsuyoshi Sekito, Kenji ito, Hiroki Kikuta, and Yoko Shimomura on the job.

Square Enix has received a fair amount of flak for its RPG efforts on mobiles, particularly with Final Fantasy: All the Bravest. Luckily, it’s since picked up the pace with Final Fantasy VI, V and VI having released for smartphones. How will Rise of Mana fare, especially considering the differing structure of the Mana series? Stay tuned for more.
