Pillars of Eternity

Backers of Obsidian Entertainment’s RPG Pillars of Eternity will have a chance to experience the game next month when it’s available in beta form. The rest of us will still need to wait for the game to arrive on Steam Early Access though.

August 18th will be the day that backers get their hands on the title, which will be available for both PC and Mac this Winter. Obsidian has also promised to update us on how long the beta test will be and how backs can participate in another update so stay tuned.

Pillars of Eternity is notable for being one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns ever. It’s funding continued to rise through Paypal donations and currently stands at $4,163,208. The gameplay and art style will be in the vein of classic D&D titles like Baldur’s Gate, Planescape: Torment and Icewind Dale. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know what you think below.
