Resident Evil HD "Remaster"

Earlier today, Capcom announced that they will be releasing a remastered version of Resident Evil across the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.  Capcom claims that the remaster will have improved visuals, shadows and textures. Not only that, the game will also have 5.1 surround support.

Sectus, a user on Neogaf compared some screenshots from the Wii version of the remake to new screens that were released today along with the announcement. It’s important to note that the screens released today were from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. You can check out the comparisons below.

One can clearly see the remaster has better textures, lighting effects and shadows. Hopefully Capcom will release some screenshots from the PS4 or Xbox One versions. This will give us a clear idea on cross generation differences between the game.
